It follows from the existing Rudistenkalken Angoumien with the places, the wall forming Angoulême lineup and the Oberturon. The Angoumien underlain and surrounded the southern dry valley and moves on to the north and north-west to the town center. Above that lay the hard Fossilkalke of Coniaciums. They build on the ground almost the entire south-western municipality of the area; even at Beauchaud in the northeast they are open-minded, but trending of the Northwest Mareuil disorder are here cut off abruptly. Northeast of this disorder is then available to Santonian, mainly marly limestones rich in oysters, glauconite - leading silts and sands of the middle and upper Antons.
