LaBrassBanda
La Brass Banda is a native of overseas am Chiemsee brass music group led by lead singer and trumpeter Stefan Dettl. The band name is derived from the Italian la banda and the English brass band, both of " brass band " means each in German. The music belongs to the genre of new folk music. They describe their music as ironic Bavarian Gypsy Brass, Brass or radio Alps jazz techno.
Band History
Stefan Dettl was fascinated with a stay in New York, as groups like the Youngblood Brass Band combine traditional brass music with hip -hop, funk and jazz influences. The music student found at the Richard Strauss Conservatory with Andreas Hofmeir (tuba ), Oliver Wrage (bass ), Manuel Winbeck (trombone) and Manuel da Coll ( drums) four like-minded people and in 2007 founded with them LaBrassBanda. Larger notoriety the band reached through their tour of her home to the final of the European Football Championship 2008 in Vienna. This they completed with mopeds and a tractor with a trailer on which they played outdoor concerts.
2009 joined the band at the invitation of the Goethe -Institut on the German cultural festival in Novosibirsk and Akademgorodok sibSTANCIJA 09. Other concerts were in Omsk, Krasnoyarsk and Moscow. In the same year LaBrassBanda occurred while Harare International Festival of Arts in Zimbabwe, presented by the German Embassy and the Zimbabwe German Society, and the Roskilde Festival. A concert film by Marcus H. Rose Müller documented a LaBrassBanda appearance on 23 October 2009 at the sold-out Circus Krone in Munich. In the years 2010 to 2012 LaBrassBanda played more than 500 concerts. You are a guest on various festivals, such as the Hurricane Festival in Scheessel, southern Germany Sister Festival Southside in Neuhausen ob Eck, the Highfield Festival in Großpösna, the Sziget Festival in Budapest, the Haldern Pop on the Lower Rhine and the Chiemsee Reggae Summer in overseas. La Brass Banda arrived at the German preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2013 with the title nackert second place behind Cascada. They won this week at the radio audience voting, occupied second place in the viewers voting, but received by the jury only one point.
