Laheycourt
Laheycourt is a commune with 392 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Meuse in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Bar-le -Duc and the Canton Vaubecourt.
Geography
The municipality is located in the west of Lorraine, about 18 kilometers north-west of Bar -le- Duc. The river flows west through Chée Laheycourt.
Neighboring communities of Laheycourt are Lisle -en -Barrois in the northeast, Villotte -devant- Louppy in the east, Louppy -le- Château in the south east, Villers -aux -Vents in the south, Noyers- Auzécourt in the west and Sommeilles in the northwest.
History
The church was in the 18th and 19th centuries with Laheicourt (1793) and La Heycourt (1801 ) equal -sounding place names.

Trivia
In April 1983, the 57 m high bell tower collapsed around midnight, causing no apparent reason and without personal injury.
