Naix-aux-Forges

Naix -aux -Forges is a municipality in the department of Meuse in the Lorraine region of northeastern France. It lies in the valley of the river Ornain, 8 km from Ligny -en- Barrois.

History

Naix -aux -Forges was in Roman times the name Nasium, founded in the 1st century BC In its heyday, included Nasium an area of ​​120 hectares and was next to Metz, the largest settlement in what is now the Lorraine.
