Laimjala Parish

Laimjala ( German: Laimjall ) is a rural municipality in the Estonian Saare County with an area of 116 km ². It has 932 inhabitants (as of June 1, 2003 ).

Laimjala lies to the east of the island of Saaremaa. In addition to the eponymous capital of the country parish includes the villages of Aaviku, Asva, Audla, Jõe, Kahtla, Kapra, Kingli, Kõiguste, Käo, Laheküla, Mustla, Mägi - Kurdla, Nõmme, Pahavalla, Paju - Kurdla, Randvere, Rannaküla Ridala, Ruhve, Saareküla, Saaremetsa, Üüvere and Viltina.

The community is very scarcely wooded. The landscape is dominated by juniper. In the beauty of fauna, there are elk, wild boar and deer. Off the coast are numerous small islets.
