Lamborghini 400 GT

The Lamborghini 400 GT was a coupe of the automobile manufacturer Lamborghini. The car was built from 1965 to 1968 in 273 copies by Carrozzeria Touring; Successor to the Lamborghini 400 GT was the Lamborghini Islero. 1967 ended Touring automobile production; the last copies of the Lamborghini 400 GT were completed at Marazzi.

Technical details

The car corresponded in body and Technology ( five-speed gearbox, independent suspension on unequal length wishbones and rear, disc brakes on all wheels ) as far as possible the previous Lamborghini 350 GT, the V12 engine with four overhead camshafts but had been enlarged to 3929 cc and had 235 kW / 320 hp. The work was to a top speed of 260 km / h.

Special models and prototypes

400 GTS

The 400 GTS was designed as one of the last cars of Touring in 1966. Basically it was the same car as the 350 GTS. It the engine of the 400 GT has only been installed.

400 GT Flying Star II

The 400 GT Flying Star II was presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1966. It was based on the 400 GT 2 2. The company Touring built a wagon-coupé. The first owner of the individual piece was the son of the writer Françoise Sagan. The Flying Star II in 1987, after he was restored, presented at the Retro Mobile classic car exhibition in Paris. The vehicle is privately owned.

Monza 400

The 400 Monza was built by coachbuilder Neri e Bonacini 1966. This operation was responsible even for the chassis of the Lamborghini 350 GT and the Ferrari 250 GTO.
