Lamme Valley Railway
The Lamb Valley Railway is a branch line that branches in the United fertilization of the railway line Hildesheim - Goslar and today leads a bathroom floor after Salzdetfurth castle. From there they proceeded further on Lamspringe to Bad Gandersheim on the railway line Braunschweig- Kreiensen.
The remaining remnant, which lies completely in the area of Bad Salzdetfurth, now serves mainly the tourist and commuter traffic. The route follows the river Lamme here.
History
The section of large fertilizer to Bad Salzdetfurth was opened on 1 October 1901. On November 7 of the same year the route above ground castle to Gronau (Leine) was extended; there already existed a branch line from Elze to the Hanoverian Southern Railway from Hannover to Göttingen. On 1 October 1902, the portion of soil over Lamspringe castle was handed over to Bad Gandersheim circulation.
From 1913 Wittfeld battery railcars were used on the track.
1966 persons, 1974, the freight on the route ground - Elze castle was abandoned. From floor castle in Bad Gandersheim the passenger could hold up to September 27, 1975; Since then, the northern section is only operated in rail passenger transport.

Due to the planned decommissioning no crossing structure at Lamspringe was provided more in the planning and construction of the rail line in the 1980s. In the planning and construction of the viaduct Checkout mill the new line west of Sehlem the line was, however, taken into account.
The last scarcely traveled section of Lamspringe to Bad Gandersheim stayed until 29 May 1994. He was up almost last for the delivery and collection of agricultural goods with operation of the small stations Altgandersheim (especially sugar ) and Lamspringe (also Holztransporte the company Cetto ) used. By the end of the eighties also had the then Auer SOG in the bathroom Gandersheimer north a railway siding. The old station ground castle was abandoned in order to save a railroad crossing, and replaced by a simple termination stop a few hundred meters east of the former railway station.
Today's meaning

The section Gander bathroom home Lamspringe is now a paved hiking and biking trail which passes through the open, gently rolling jack crimp along extensive natural hedges by fields and meadows of sculptures of different genres (see: Sculpture ). Worth seeing are the two great stone viaducts of about 1900 in the city of Bad Gandersheim are listed as historical monuments.
