Lan Caihe

Caihe Lan (Chinese蓝 采 和, Lan Ts'ai -ho W.-G. ), also Lan Cai He, is a famous Taoist Immortal Chinese mythology. It belongs to the group of the Eight Immortals (Ba xian ).

According to legend, Lan Caihe was probably a transvestite and is sometimes represented as a woman and sometimes as a man. He embodies the outcasts and madmen. Since he is traditionally depicted with a basket of flowers, he is regarded as the patron saint of florists.
