Landsberied

Landsberied is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district Fürstenfeldbruck and a member of the administrative community Mammendorf.

Geography

Landsberied located in the Munich region.

There is only the district Landsberied. Other districts are Babenried and Hirschthürl.

History

In particular, the remains of Viereckschanzen ( ramparts for settlements and farmsteads ) indicate a settled by Celtic settlers about 1000 BC close.

Numerous archaeological sites and finds evidence of the Roman presence in the community. Across the municipality runs the Roman road from Augsburg to Salzburg today called " Via Julia ". It was established in the middle of the 1st century. According to traditions should have stood on the castle hill in the Roman occupation a Castell ( Roman watchtower ).

Landsberied was with Jesenwang a center of Huosi, one of the five Bavarian Pre-and high nobility of baierischen duchy in the early Middle Ages.
