Mittelstetten

Mittelstetten is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district Fürstenfeldbruck and a member of the administrative community Mammendorf. The village is located about 20 km southeast of Augsburg and 13 km north- west of Fürstenfeldbruck.

History

Mittelstetten was first mentioned as 788 Mouitilstat ( abode of Mutilo ), as Duke Tassilo III. the place and church presented the monastery Benediktbeuren. By 1200, three names were called " Milites in Muotelinsten ", ie Knights of Mittelstetten called. In the late 13th century goods were transferred to the newly founded monastery Fürstenfeld in Mittelstetten. Beginning of the 16th century the monastery had three courtyards and a tavern in Mittelstetten. The latter was an important stopping place for travelers from Munich to Augsburg.

1818 the community education along with the parts of the municipality Hanshofen, length moss and Vogach.

Incorporations

On 1 July 1972, the former to the municipality Baier mountain belonging Oberdorf Mittelstetten was slammed. On May 1, 1978, the previously separate municipality Tegernbach was incorporated.
