Long Rickenbach is a municipality in the district of Kreuzlingen in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland.
Geography
Long Rickenbach lies on the eastern edge of the lake ridge little walk from Lake Constance. The neighboring communities of Long Rickenbach are in the north Munsterlingen TG, in the east Altnau, in the southeast Güttingen, in the south-southeast Sommeri, alders in the south, west and northwest Birwinken Lengwil.
History
Is first mentioned in the year 889 Langrickenbach probably the oldest settlement on the present municipality located in the district Dünnershaus and called Lenzwil and can be evidenced in writing since 838.
The present municipality was created in 1998 through the merger of Munizipalgemeinde Langrickenbach with the local communities Dünnershaus, manor, long Rickenbach, Zuben and Schönenbaumgarten.
