Lapalisse

Lapalisse is a commune with 3138 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Allier in the Auvergne region. It is part of the District Vichy, capital of Canton Lapalisse and seat of the municipality Association Pays de Lapalisse.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the Besbre, about 20 kilometers northeast of Vichy. The site is dominated by the castle Lapalisse.
