Le Mayet-de-Montagne

Le Mayet -de- Montagne is a commune with 1590 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Allier in the Auvergne region. It is part of the arrondissement of Vichy, capital of Canton Le Mayet -de- Montagne and seat of the municipal association Bourbonnaise.

Geography

Le Mayet -de- Montagne is situated at an altitude of about 550 meters above sea level, approximately 25 kilometers east-southeast of Vichy on the edge of the Massif Central. In the municipality of Le Mayet the Jolan, a tributary of Sihon springs.
