Lars Frölander

Lars Arne Frölander ( born May 26, 1974 in Borlänge) is a Swedish swimmer.

Career

He won the gold medal in the 100 m butterfly, for which he was also honored with the Svenska Dagbladet - gold medal at the 2000 Olympic Games. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and at the Games in Atlanta in 1996 he won the Swedish 4 × 200 m freestyle relay, respectively the silver medal. With the World Swimming Championships in Fukuoka in 2001, he surprisingly won the gold medal in the 100 m butterfly in front of the favorites Ian Crocker. With the Swedish 4x100 m medley relay, he won the bronze medal at the European Swimming Championships 2008 in Eindhoven.
