Lars-Gunnar Pettersson

Lars- Gunnar Pettersson ( born April 8, 1960 in Luleå ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player.

Career

Lars- Gunnar Pettersson started his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of IFK Luleå, for the first team he gave his debut in the 1976/77 season in the second-class Division 1. The Hockey department of IFK Luleå split followed by the association from the attacker and ran until 1980 for the successor team Groko hockey and Luleå HF in Division 1 on. For the 1980/81 season he moved to IF Björklöven from the Elitserien. With the team he won the Swedish championship title in the 1986/87 season. He himself had as top scorer in the Elitserien large part of this success. For the season 1987 /88 Links Sniper returned within the Elitserien for Luleå HF. There he was able to convince, and was also in the 1988/89 season not only top scorer in the Elitserien, but also their leading scorer. Following the 1993/94 season ended his career at Luleå HF at the age of 34 years.

Internationally

For Sweden, Pettersson took part in the junior level at the U18 European Junior Championships in 1978 and the U20 World Youth Championship in 1980. In the tournaments he won with his team bronze medals.

In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1985, 1986 and 1987. Moreover, he argued for Sweden at the 1987 Canada Cup and the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 to. In the 1986 World Cup, he won the silver at the 1987 World Championships gold medal with his team. At the Winter Games in 1988 he also reached the bronze medal with Sweden.
