Latiano

Latiano is a community on the southern Italian Salento peninsula with 14,919 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Brindisi, Puglia region. There is twinned with the town of Pompei.

The nearby towns of Latiano are Brindisi, Francavilla Fontana, Mesagne, Oria, San Michele Salentino and San Vito dei Norman.

Demography

Latiano counts 5,359 households. Between 1991 and 2001, the population fell from 15,592 to 15,371. This corresponds to a percentage decrease of 1.4%.
