Leah Purcell
Leah Purcell ( born August 14, 1970 in Murgon, Queensland ) is an Australian actress and singer.
Life and achievements
Purcell made his debut in the television series Police Rescue - Dangerous applications in which they occurred in the years 1995 and 1996. In the film drama Somewhere in the Darkness (1998) she played one of the major roles. In the film drama Lantana (2001), she played a police detective who investigated together with her colleague Leon Zat (Anthony LaPaglia ), a lost psychotherapist (Barbara Hershey ). For this role she won in 2001 along with Barbara Hershey, Kerry Armstrong, Rachael Blake and Daniella Farinacci the IF Award; In 2002 she was nominated for the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award. Their appearance in the documentary Black Chicks Talking (2001 ), in which she also directed, earned her the 2002 IF Award and the Audience Award at the Brisbane International Film Festival. In the film drama Jindabyne - Somewhere in Australia ( 2006), she was seen alongside Laura Linney and Gabriel Byrne.
