Leaves' Eyes

Leaves' Eyes is a German - Norwegian symphonic metal band.

Band History

Leaves' Eyes was founded in the summer of 2003, even before frontwoman Liv Kristine was fired because of irreconcilable musical differences from its previous band Theatre of Tragedy. The remaining band members are from Atrocity.

In 2004 the debut album Lovelorn, from which the single Into Your Light was coupled with video appeared. In the summer of that year, Leaves' Eyes and Atrocity played a joint tour in Germany. Just a year later in May 2005 was followed by the second album Vinland Saga, which reached a position in the German album charts for the first time. In September, the band toured together with Paradise Lost in the United States in October followed by several concerts in North America with God Dethroned, Nightrage, Atrocity and other bands. Also in October, a performance at the Metal Female Voices Fest 2005 in Wieze Lebbeke in East Flanders took place before the band in December 2005, played as the opening act on the traditional Christmas tour of Subway to Sally.

Was published in 2006 with an EP Legend Land, who could also place in the German charts. Before the band played in the spring of a European tour with Elis, in the Winter Leaves ' Eyes was the opening act on the U.S. tour of Blind Guardian. In between came Atrocity and Leaves' Eyes in April in Brazil and in September in Australia.

In summer 2007, Leaves' Eyes again played as the opening act in the United States and Europe, this time for the American power metal band Kamelot. A live DVD was recorded at the Metal Female Voices Fest, which was released in February 2009 on 20 October 2007 in front of 3500 spectators. In November 2007, leaving the bassist Chris and drummer Moritz Neuner Lukhaup Leaves' Eyes and Atrocity. In January 2008, Nick Barker was unveiled as the new drummer of Leaves' Eyes and Atrocity. In August 2008, Leaves Eyes played at Wacken Open Air 2010 was Leaves' Eyes again as the opening act for Kamelot on their European tour traveling. Leaves' Eyes played again in 2010 on the MFVF in Belgium. In spring 2011, Leaves' Eyes toured together with Tarja Turunen by Germany, in April of the same year appeared the new album Meredead.
