Lebanese general election, 1972

General elections were held between the 16th and 30th April 1972 at Lebanon. It was the last parliamentary elections before the time of the civil war in Lebanon; for 30 years - until the election of 1992 - found no elections for a National Assembly.

Independent candidates won the majority of seats, although most of them were considered as members of different blocks. The turnout was 54.4 %. A total of 721 022 people cast their vote.
