Leobardo López

Leobardo López ( born September 4, 1983 in Cortijo Viejo, Michoacán ) is a Mexican football player at the position of the defender.

Life

Association

López received his first professional contract for the 2003/ 04 season at third division Unión de Curtidores and changed before the season 2004/ 05 for its playing in the second division archrival Leon. In the second half of 2005, he played briefly for also playing in the second division CF Indios before he came around the turn of 2005 /06 for first division club CF Pachuca, where he is also currently still under contract.

With the Tuzos he experienced the most successful period of his football career and won twice each, the Mexican championship ( Apertura 2006, Clausura 2007) and CONCACAF Champions ' Cup (2007, 2008) and once each its successor competition, the CONCACAF Champions League (2009 /10), the Copa Sudamericana ( 2006) and the Super League (2007).

National

Since his debut for the Mexican national team on 16 April 2008 against China (1-0 ) Leobardo López came so far to nine international appearances, one of which dated his most recent of 7 September 2010 against Colombia ( also 1-0). His ( so far) only international goal he scored on 12 November 2008 in a 2-1 victory against Ecuador.
