Leon van Dijk

Leon van Dijk (born 9 March 1992 Enschede) is a Dutch football player. The defender has since the 2011/12 season at Ehrendivisionär Heracles Almelo under contract.

Career

Van Dijk came from the Enschedese Boys on the football academy of FC Twente in Enschede. From there he joined as a 19- year-old in the professional squad of Heracles Almelo. His debut in the Eredivisie he was 25 March 2012 in a 3-1 home win against FC Utrecht, when he came on in the 89th minute for Tim Breukers. On his second mandatory bet he had to wait more than a year. In the 2012/13 season, he belonged to the tribe of Nachwuchself Jong SC Heracles Almelo; only in the last game of the season at FC Utrecht professionals sent coach Peter Bosz him in the 82nd minute for Dragan Paljic the square.
