Leslie Easterbrook

Leslie Easterbrook ( born July 29, 1949 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress.

Life

She was adopted by a family in rural Nebraska and grew up there. Her father was a professor of singing and trumpet at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He prepared her for operatic roles and taught them in trumpet playing for Laverne & Shirley successful television series.

With about a dozen films and more than 300 episodes on American television Easterbrook is a familiar face for the American audience. In Laverne & Shirley, she was known in the role of Marilyn Monroe -like neighbor. The role in which she was best known, is the busty blonde Debbie Callahan in the popular movie series Police Academy. This she played in six of the seven films.

Among the television series, in which Leslie starred, were Murder, She Wrote, Real super, Mr. Cooper, Baywatch, Matlock, Hunter and The Dukes of Hazzard. In the soap opera Ryan's Hope, she played the role of Devlin Kowalski. In 2007 she was seen in a supporting role in the horror film Halloween. Two years earlier she had worked with a role in The Devil 's Rejects with director Rob Zombie.

Because of her singing talent Leslie Easterbrook was selected at the Super Bowl XVII to sing the national anthem and to play more leading roles in numerous musicals on Broadway and across the country.
