Leszek Laszkiewicz

Leszek Laszkiewicz ( born August 11, 1978 in Jastrzębie -Zdrój ) is a Polish ice hockey player who is under contract at KTH Krynica in the Playoff Final since 2013. His brother Daniel Laszkiewicz is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Leszek Laszkiewicz began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of JKH GKS Jastrzębie. From there he moved to SMS I Sosnowiec, for its professional team " Olimpia " he in the East European Hockey League debut in the adult area was. From 1997 to 1999 the winger for the Nuremberg Ice Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga ran on. For the 1999/2000 season he returned to his native Poland and played for KTH Krynica. He then spent two years at Aksam Unia Oświęcim. With the team he won two consecutive Polish league titles. For the 2002/03 season he managed the leap into the Czech Extraliga, where he spent the majority of the playing time at HC Vitkovice before he finished the HC Femax Havířov.

In the 2003 /04 season Laszkiewicz met again for Aksam Unia Oświęcim in the Playoff Final. With the team he again won the national championship. In the following season, he was standing by the HC Milano Vipers from the Italian Serie A1 under contract. With the team from Milan, he immediately became Italian Champion and also won the Coppa Italia. Following the successful year abroad, he moved to KS Cracovia. With Cracovia, he won in 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013 five more times Polish Champion title. He even developed at Cracovia one of the star players of the Playoff Final and was repeatedly scorer. After the fifth league title with Cracovia Laszkiewicz moved in 2013 back to KTH Krynica, who returned this year from the I league in the Playoff Final.

Internationally

For Poland Laszkiewicz took at junior level first at the U18 Junior B Championship in 1995 and 1996 in part, in which he was elected in 1996 as the top scorer of the tournament in the All- Star team. This was followed by appearances at the U20 World Youth Championship in 1997 and the U20 Junior B World Cup 1998.

In the senior level, he stood in the squad of his country at the B World Championships in 1998, 1999 and 2000. During the 2001 World Championships with his team at the tournament in Group A of Division I winning the title and the associated he achieved his first promotion to the top division after ten years.
