The product range includes laser, inkjet and dot matrix printers, typewriters to 2002, as well as related accessories. Lexmark is also a leading provider of MPS ( Managed Print Services).

Headquarters of Lexmark International is in Lexington (Kentucky), USA. The European headquarters with 19 subsidiaries located in Paris or Geneva. The European central warehouse are located in Venlo and Turnhout.

The German subsidiary of the internationally active group is the Lexmark Germany GmbH, which is represented in six German cities with offices and is headquartered in Dietzenbach. Manager was until June 2009 Mike Robert Rüschenbaum. He was succeeded by Hartmut Rottstedt. The sole shareholder of Lexmark Germany GmbH is the Lexmark International Technology SA, a joint stock company under the laws of Switzerland with its headquarters in Meyrin, Geneva, Switzerland. It was represented in 2008 by Kai Wagener, the General Counsel Lexmark EMEA. In Germany 2008, an average 153 people were employed.

The service and support locations for the EMEA Economic Area in Sofia and Lisbon ( for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg ), Sweden ( Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden), Rabat ( for French-speaking countries and Spain) and Bangalore (for UK ).

Company History and Milestones

Lexmark was originally the printing division of IBM and was spun on 27 March 1991, to be completely sold to an international consortium of investors. Nevertheless, the first product lines were still distributed under the label with the IBM Lexmark signature.
