Lidiya Skoblikova

Lidija Pavlovna Skoblikowa (Russian Лидия Павловна Скобликова; born March 8, 1939 in Zlatoust ) is a former Soviet speed skater.

With its six gold medals at the Olympics, it is one of the most successful speed skaters at all. At the Winter Games in 1960 in Squaw Valley, she won over 1500 and 3000 meters. Four years later at the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck, she won the same on all four former sections 500, 1000, 1500 and 3000 meters. In the same year she was named by the Polish Press Agency Polska Agencja Prasowa (PAP ) to Europe's Sportswoman of the Year.

In 1968 Skoblikowa still at the Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble and took part in more than 1500 meters to 11 meters and over 3000 the 6th Place.

In 1969 she resigned from active competition.
