Lindau is a municipality in the district of Pfäffikon of the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. At Lindau includes the villages Tagelswangen, Winterberg, Grafstal, Kemptthal and the hamlet Eschikon and Kleinikon.

Geography
Lindau is located between the cities of Winterthur and Zurich, on the watershed between Kemptthal and Glatt valley. One-third of the municipal area is forested.
Population
The population is distributed among the various villages: Lindau has 798 inhabitants, Grafstal / Kemptthal 1'421 inhabitants, Tagelswangen 1,957 inhabitants and Winterberg 910 inhabitants ( 2012).
Policy
The SVP has 39.1%, SP 22.2%, FDP 14.9%, Green 7.3%, the CVP 3.8%, and the EPP 3.1% of the vote.

History
In 1464 the area came under the rule of Zurich. Only 1711 villages have been combined for parish Lindau, later the political community emerged from the. 1861 Michael Maggi bought the hammer mill in Kemptthal, his son Julius Maggi founded here in 1869 Maggi works.
