Litokwa Tomeing

Litokwa Tomeing ( born October 14, 1939 on the Wotje Atoll, Ratak chain) was January 7, 2008 until October 21, 2009 President of the Marshall Islands.

Litokwa Tomeing is a member of the United People 's Party ( UPP ). He was elected on 7 January 2008, 18:15 by Parliament votes for new president and thus the successor of Kessai Note.

During his tenure Tomeing survived two confidence votes. On October 21, he was defeated in a further vote of no confidence votes with 17:15. The President of Parliament certain Ruben Zackhras as his, the official duties leading up to the election of a new president, successor.
