Little Susitna River

The Little Susitna River is a 180 km long river in southern Alaska.

It has a catchment area of 160 km ² and a mean discharge of 5.8 m³ / s ( averaged over the years 1948-1996 ).

It rises east of Hatcher Pass from the Mint Glacier in the Talkeetna Mountains, flows southwest and empties west of Anchorage in the Cook Inlet.

The George Parks Highway crosses the Little Susitna River at mile 69.5 and follows the river for about two kilometers. Municipalities and census-designated places along the river are Fishhook, Meadow Lakes, Houston, Big Lake and Point MacKenzie
