Loïc Rémy ( born January 2, 1987 in Rillieux- la -Pape, near Lyon ) is a French football player. He played in the English Premier League for Newcastle United.

Career

Rémy's family is originally from Martinique. He was trained in the talent of Olympique Lyon. From the season 2006/ 07 he played as a professional in the highest French League, Ligue 1, he was loaned to RC Lens For the second half of the season 2007/ 08. In the seasons 2008/ 09 and 2009/10, he was standing by the OGC Nice under contract. In August 2010, he spent about 15 million euros to Olympique Marseille.

On January 16, 2013 Rémy joined the Premier League for Queens Park Rangers. He signed a contract with a term until 30 June 2017. After the descent with QPR Rémy joined the 2013/14 season on loan to Newcastle United.

He played for the French under-21 national team and scored there in his eleven inserts four goals. In the course of 2009, Remy was appointed several times in the squad of the French A- national team and came on June 2 in a friendly against Nigeria to its first use.
