Ryan Taylor (2007)

Ryan Anthony Taylor ( born August 19, 1984 in Liverpool) is an English footballer. He currently plays as a right-back at Newcastle United.

Career

Wigan Athletic undertook Taylor on 13 July 2005 for an undisclosed fee from Tranmere Rovers. This outbid among others Everton and Norwich City, who had also shown interest in Taylor. He signed a four- year contract at Wigan until 2009.

Ryan Taylor scored his first Premier League goal on 25 February 2007 between Newcastle United. From outside the box, he succeeded in a free kick the ball in the 40th minute to convey behind Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given. Wigan won this game.

In 2006, Taylor broke the fifth metatarsal bone at the FA Cup tie against Leeds United. After recovering, he broke into his first after injury the leg in a game for the reserve team.

End of 2007, succeeded Taylor with strong performances to establish under new manager Steve Bruce back into the first team. On 26 December 2007, he scored again through a free-kick for Newcastle United his second league goal.

In February 2009, Taylor Wigan Athletic left and signed a contract until 2013 with Newcastle United.
