Lol Coxhill

Career

Coxhill learned the saxophone in private lessons and completed a bookbinder training. He first played in amateur bands rhythm and blues and became a professional musician in 1954. He then worked as well with Tubby Hayes, Joe Harriott and Mose Allison as in the Blue area continue with Otis Spann, Steve Miller Champion Jack Dupree, Lowell Fulson, Rufus Thomas and Alexis Korner.
