Lies march is the sixth studio album by the German rock band Böhse Onkelz. It consists predominantly of songs of the previous album Kneipenterroristen and was moved in 1989 by Metal Enterprises.

Background

Metal Enterprises decided in 1989 to publish a picture disc of the Böhse Onkelz and put the band under pressure. This would focus on a new album is actually to get out of the contract with Nowotny. Finally, however, she gave in to pressure from the record company. Label boss Ingo Nowotny chose four songs of the previous album Kneipenterroristen and three songs, which were recorded during the recording sessions, but had not yet been published.

Versions

Originally the album was intended only as a picture disc. This was pressed in 23 different versions, most recently in 1999. The A-side shows an old photo of the band Böhse Onkelz, the B-side shows the product information. Despite the project to publish only a vinyl version, a CD version was soon pressed, which had taken the color photo is black and white as a cover.

The Onkelz have made ​​it to a year- long legal battle to regain the rights to this album. The album was subsequently reissued on the Onkelz own label Regel23 Recordings.
