Luiz Bombonato Goulart

Luiz Carlos Bombonato Goulart, known primarily as Luizão, ( born November 14, 1975 in Rubinéia, São Paulo ) is a Brazilian footballer.

Life

Luizão began his career in 1993 at Guarani FC. This loaned him out to Paraná Clube. In 1994, he returned. In 1995 he moved to SE Palmeiras. In 1997, he first went to Europe to Deportivo La Coruña in La Liga, but returned after a season to Brazil Vasco da Gama returned, with whom he won the Copa Libertadores. In 1999 he went to Corinthians and won with the team the Brazilian Championship. In 2000, he was the best scorer in the Copa Libertadores.

Luizão In 2002, first to Grêmio Porto Alegre, after the World Cup to Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga. The stay in Germany, however, was not marked by success and after 26 games in which only reach four goals to him, he left in March 2004 in Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas direction. In the fall of 2004 he went to Sao Paulo, 2005 Nagoya Grampus Eight in Japan. Then he returned to Sao Paulo. Since 2006 he is at Flamengo under contract.

Luizão played 16 times for Brazil, scoring three goals. He stood in the squad at the 2002 World Cup and has been used in the tournament twice. In 1996 he won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games.
