Lukas Rotpuller

Luke Rotpuller (born 31 March 1991 in Eisenstadt ) is an Austrian football player.

Club career

Rotpuller began his career in the youth of the ASK Baumgarten, for which he was active with the exception of a season at SV shadow village until 2004. As a result, he played for one season in the Football Academy Burgenland, before he moved to FK Austria Wien in the FSA Hollabrunn 2005.

For the season 2009/10 he got into the squad of FK Austria Wien Amateure on where he was in the First League on 17 July 2009 during the 3-0 away defeat at FC Lustenau under coach Hans Dihanich his debut. As a result, he established himself as a regular player and managed with the team sporting the league, but still had to descend due to a league reform with the amateurs in the Regional League East.

Then he was temporarily during the pre-season in the first team squad, went to a wrist injury but again with the amateurs in the new season, which he led in a row as a team captain on the field.

In July 2011 he extended his contract with the Austria prematurely in 2013. At 20 he was the oldest player in the squad of the second team. Rotpuller was awarded to SV Ried and came to some games starting time in the Bundesliga for use. With Marcel Ziegl and Thomas Reifeltshammer it forms one of the youngest defensive chains in Austria. In the summer of 2013 he returned to Austria and was at the end of the season Austrian champion.

National

At the international level Rotpuller debuted in 2007 under coach Paul Gludovatz in the Austrian U -17 national team for which he played a total of three games. In consequence he was drafted over three years in any Austrian national team before the U-20 World Cup in 2011 nominated him coach Andreas Heraf surprisingly in the final squad of Austria in Colombia.
