Thomas Murg

Thomas Murg (born 14 November 1994 Voitsberg ) is an Austrian football player. The midfielder plays in the Austrian Bundesliga club FK Austria Wien.

Sports career

Murg started his footballing career at the Atus Baernbach in Styria. In 2008 he moved to Grazer AK, where he was taken after short stopovers in his parent club from Baernbach as well as the local rivals SK Sturm Graz 2010 in the squad for the first team.

His debut for the first team of the Redcoats were Murg on August 6, 2010, compared to DSV Leoben, when he played from the beginning and was replaced in the 76th minute for Jacob Dyer. In his first appearance in the dress of the Grazer he scored the intermediate 2-1 3-1 success at the UPC Arena. Overall, the left midfielder came in his first full season on 26 missions and two goals. In his second season 2011/12 he was a performer in Graz champion team of the Regional Center, where he scored eleven goals in 24 missions. After unsuccessful Playoff against TSV Hartberg Murg returned the Grazer AK back and moved to the beginning of the season 2012/13 on the Austrian Bundesliga FK Austria Wien.

His debut in the highest Austrian league gave the Styrian under coach Peter Stoeger July 28, 2012 against his former youth club SK Sturm Graz. Murg came on in the 62nd minute for Roland Linz and got in the 90th minute yellow card. The match at the Generali Arena was lost 0:1. At the end of the season he was, after seven inserts, Austrian champion.

Internationally, he has played more games for the Austrian U -17 and U-19 national team.
