Łukasz Szukała

Łukasz Szukała ( born May 26, 1984 in Gdansk, Poland ) is a Polish footballer. He plays in defense, preferably as a central defender.

Childhood

Szukała arrived in Danzig to the world and wandered in his early childhood with his family from Poland and immigrated as repatriates with his family in the Trier area.

Career

In youth Szukała played for Fortuna Saar castle ( 1994-97 ), the DJK Trassem ( 1997-98 ) and then from 1998 for Eintracht Trier before he moved to the youth department of the Lorraine first division club FC Metz in 2000. His career at senior level, he started there as well. From 2002 he was until the summer of 2004, also in the squad of the second team (FC Metz B).

For the season 2004 /05 he signed a contract with TSV 1860 Munich and has since the reputation of a robust defense. At this time denied Szukała five games for the Polish U-21 national team. In the first round 2006/ 07 Szukała put in a sporting crisis, also due to increased bad luck with injuries. Towards the end of the season he struggled back to the first team, so he had come to the end of the season to nine inserts. After the expiration of his contract with TSV 1860 Munich, he moved free transfer for the season 2008/ 09 to Alemannia Aachen and played there for two years.

For the season 2010/11 he moved to Gloria Bistrita in Romania, in which his former teammates Aachen Laurentiu Reghecampf was coach. However, the club did not receive a license for the next season, which is why Szukała in summer 2011 signed a contract with the first division club Universitatea Cluj. After he became a regular player there as well, he moved a year later to league rivals Petrolul Ploieşti. After only about a month Szukała left the club in mid-August 2012, and moved to the league rivals and record champions Steaua Bucharest. On September 20, 2012 Szukała got its first use in the European Cup, when he was in the starting in a 2-2 draw in the Europa League group match against VfB Stuttgart. With the team he was against Stuttgart in the first group and even turned Ajax Amsterdam in the Round of before you just failed in the second round to eventual winners Chelsea. In the season 2012/13 Szukała came to 20 missions in the league and scored four goals. In the end he won the championship with the team and sixteen point lead. On July 10, 2013 Szukała scored in the 3-0 win in the Romanian Supercup a goal. Due to the good performance he was nominated by the end of July 2013 Polish national coach Waldemar Fornalik for a friendly game of Polish national football team against Denmark on 14 August 2013.

National

His first international game he played on August 14, 2013 against Denmark. Poland won the game 3-2 for itself.

His first competitive match for Poland, he played on September 6, 2013, when they played at the World Cup qualifier against Montenegro 1:1.

Private

Szukała is fluent in German, Polish, English and French. He is a Polish and German nationality.
