Lunas, Hérault

Lunas is a commune with 651 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Hérault in the Languedoc- Roussillon region. The inhabitants are called Luna Parisiens.

Geography

Lunas is located on the southern edge of the Cevennes, west of Lodève. In the northeast is the Causse du Larzac, in the west are the Monts de l' Espinouse. In the south the landscape becomes flatter. In the village the rivers Gravezon and Nize, which open into the Orb after three kilometers join. The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of Haut Languedoc.
