Maasim, Sarangani
Maasim is a Philippine municipality in the province of Sarangani.
Geography
The municipality is bordered to the west by Maasim Kiamba, to the east lies the bay of Sarangani, in the north bordering the South Cotabato province and to the south lies the Celebes Sea.
In the rain forests and mountain areas Maasims of Philippine Tarsier ( Tarsius syrichta ) lives.

Population and Culture
The majority of the inhabitants are from the origin Cebuanos. In the mountain areas Maasims the indigenous people of the T'boli lives.
Economy
The economy is largely based on Maasims agriculture, of great importance is the Kopraproduktion. Animal husbandry is the second largest source of income, especially cattle. Next agricultural products are coconuts, maize, sugarcane, bananas, pineapples, mangoes, pork, eggs, beef and fish.
Economic growth has been significantly accelerated by the global communication technologies and due to the completion of a modern highways over the past decade, the trade and transport possibilities improved enormously.
