Machilly

Machilly is a commune in the French department of Haute- Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Geography

Machilly is located on 532 m above sea level. M., approximately 15 kilometers east-northeast of the city of Geneva (air line). The village extends into the Talniederung of Foron the northwest foot of the mountain range of Les Voirons, near the border with Switzerland.

The area of ​​5.76 square kilometers municipal area includes a section on the edge of Lake Geneva basin. History

Various traces indicate a settlement of the municipality of Machilly in prehistoric times. The village is mentioned in the 15th century.

Population
