Main Street (TTC)

Main Street is an underground subway station in Toronto. It lies on the Bloor- Danforth line of the Toronto Subway, at the corner of Danforth Avenue and Main Street. The station has side platforms, is used daily by an average of 22,670 passengers (2009 /10).

It offers connecting flights to seven bus lines and tram line 506, the turning loop trail around the station building. Approximately 350 meters to the south is the Danforth station on the Lakeshore East line of GO Transit. The opening of the station on 11 May 1968 together with the section Woodbine - Warden.

The Main Street was the main street of the suburb of East Toronto, which merged in 1908 with Toronto.
