Victoria Park (TTC)

Victoria Park is an above-ground subway station in Toronto. It lies on the Bloor- Danforth line of the Toronto Subway, at Victoria Park Avenue and one block north of Danforth Avenue. The station has side platforms, is used daily by an average of 25,520 passengers (2009 /10).

It offers connecting flights to four bus lines, also is the commuters a park -and-ride with 180 paid parking spaces. The opening of the station on 11 May 1968 together with the section Woodbine - Warden. The route leaves the tunnel just before Victoria Park; it follows a bridge over the road and in the station, then the route is at ground level and turns it in a northeasterly direction.

Currently the station as part of a modernization program is properly renewed. Work began in the fall of 2008 and is expected to last three years. Through the installation of elevators accessibility is guaranteed and the system is designed artistically. Located on the roof of the bus terminal station was demolished and replaced by a walk-in facility in May 2010; the roof is planted.
