Malmöhus County

Malmo County was from 1661 to 1997 a Swedish province ( län) in the historical province Scania ( Skåne swedish ). She went on in the province of Skåne län along with Kristianstad County.

History

Malmo County (Danish: Malmohus Len ) in 1526, during the Danish period incurred. This, however, was smaller than the later Swedish countries. To 1540, the province Lindholm Len ( swedish Lindholmens län) went up in Malmo longer. 1669 the now Swedish Malmo was longer united with the former provinces Helsingborgs County, Landskrona County, retained its shape until 1997. Residence city of the province was Malmö. The Länbuchstabe "M" for Malmo County, was acquired for the province of Skåne County.
