Mann Rubin

Mann Rubin ( born December 11, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, † October 12, 2013 in West Hills, California ) was an American screenwriter for film and television. He was known primarily for his work on movies such as All My Dreams, The diabolical game, murder second hand or The First Deadly Sin.

Life and career

Mann Rubin, born in 1927 in Brooklyn, served from 1945 to 1947 in the Army of the United States. In 1952 he completed his studies in the Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University. In 1948 he had first experiences as a screenwriter. In addition to his studies, he first worked as a writer for DC Comics even before he worked in 1952 as a freelance writer for film and television. Between the years 1952 to 1990 produced numerous screenplays for episodes of well-known American television series, preferably thriller, drama, adventure or spy genre, among other things: Tales of Tomorrow ( 1952-1953 ), Justice ( 1954-1955 ), Climax! (1957 ) Checkmate ( 1961-1962 ), Perry Mason ( 1964-1965 ), The Fugitive ( 1966), Iron Horse (1967 ), FBI (1967 ), Cobra, you ( 1967-1971 ), Mannix (1971 -1973 ) the Chief ( 1973-1975 ), the Six Million Dollar Man (1974 ) Adventure Of The Highway (1974 ), Harry O ( 1975), Starsky and Hutch (1975 ), Cannon (1976 ), Baretta (1976 ), Petrocelli (1976 ), Barnaby Jones ( 1976-1978 ), Quincy (1977-1978 ), the Rockford Files - Just call (1979) Dynasty (1981 ), Knots Landing ( 1982-1983 ), hotel ( 1984), police report (1990).

Mann Rubin wrote since 1959, various screenplays for movies, among other things, all my dreams, dancing on the wire, the diabolical game, Murder Second Hand, The First Deadly Sin or Marine Fighter for director Ted Post.

In addition to his work for film and television Rubin also taught for over a decade screenwriting in the film and television department at the University of Southern California.
