Mannsdorf an der Donau
Claus Village on the Danube is a municipality with 386 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district Gaenserndorf in Lower Austria.
Geography
Claus Village on the Danube is located on the southern edge of the field in the March wine district in Lower Austria. The area of the municipality covers 10.31 square kilometers. 12.1 percent of the area is forested.
There are no other cadastral except Claus Village on the Danube.
History
The area of man village was already inhabited in the time of the urn field culture.
In the core Austrian state of Lower Austria lying the place told the eventful history of Austria. From 1938 to 1945 man village belonged to the Danube as part of the newly created 22nd district Grossenzersdorf to Vienna.
Population Development
According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 435 inhabitants. In 1991 the community had 427 inhabitants in 1981 and 330 in 1971, 339 inhabitants.
Policy
Mayor of the municipality is Christoph Windisch, Head Office Renate Ondrovics.
In the council there after the municipal elections of 2010 a total of 13 seats following distribution of seats: ÖVP 8, UBLM ( Independent Citizens' List Mannsdorf ) 5, no other seats.
Culture and sights
The branch church to St. Francis Xavier is an originally baroque building from 1769 that was remodeled 1955-1957. The church is located in the northeast of the town.
By Mannsdorf leads the Danube cycle path.
Economy and infrastructure
