Aderklaa

Aderklaa is a small municipality with 194 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the March Field on the Vienna city limits.

Geography

The Angersdorf Aderklaa lies in the wine district belonging to March Field in Lower Austria between Vienna and German Wagram. The area of ​​the municipality covers 8.62 km ². 1.22 percent of the area is forested. There are no other cadastral except Aderklaa. Neighboring municipalities are ( from the north ) Gera village near Vienna, German Wagram, Raasdorf and Vienna.

History

In Aderklaa evidence of settlements from the Neolithic, the Bronze Age, the Hallstatt and La Tène period were found. Aderklaa was first documented in the year 1250. During the second Turkish siege of Vienna in 1683 the village was devastated. 1809 Aderklaa was one of the scenes of the Battle of Wagram. On the occasion of the celebration of 200 years after the Battle of Wagram in 2009 the municipality was awarded the coat of arms of the province of Lower Austria.

Population Development

According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 233 inhabitants. In 1991 the community had 210 inhabitants in 1981 and 155 in 1971, 183 inhabitants.

Mayor of the municipality is Franz Schlederer.

In the council, there are a total of 13 seats after the municipal elections of 14 March 2010, the following distribution of seats: ÖVP 11, JA at A 2, no other seats.
