The Maranoa River is a river in south-west of the Australian state of Queensland. It rises in the south of the Warrong Carnarvon National Park, flows through Mitchell and flows into Lake St. George Kajarabie and thus into the Balonne River.

The most important tributary of the Maranoa River is the Merivale River. In Mitchell the Warrego Highway crosses the river.

A number of Australian folk songs, as Sandy Maranoa and The Maranoa Drovers, sing of the river.
