Martin Männel 2008

Männel Martin ( born March 16, 1988 in Hennigsdorf ) is a German football goalkeeper who plays for FC Erzgebirge Aue.

Career

His footballing career started Männel at the age of eight years at FSV Velten and SC Oberhavel Velten. At the age of 14 he moved to Energie Cottbus. Here he attended the so-called " elite school of football," the Lusatian Sport University. Männel completed all youth departments and was later goalkeeper of the second team, for the first time, he was already 17 years old between the sticks. During his time at Energie Cottbus, he was also the first time in the squad of the Under-19 Junior National Team. On 21 July 2007, he suffered an ear injury in the game against the junior national team of Serbia, as a firecracker exploded right next to his target.

For the season 2008/ 09 he was piloted by his former amateur coach and former Auer Coach Heiko Weber along with his teammates Arne Feick Jan high Scheidt and Marc Hensel for FC Erzgebirge Aue. Here Männel signed a contract until 2010, and was able to prevail against Stephan Flauder as goalkeeper of the club. His greatest sporting achievements was the rise in the 2nd Bundesliga with FC Erzgebirge the end of season 2009/10. As the season progresses Männel extended his contract with the club until 2012, the first season in the second division was an excellent success for Männel and the Erzgebirge. ; the winter break 2010/11 was the Movers surprisingly at the top, at the end of the season it was enough for fifth place. At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he lost his place to new signing Sascha Kirschstein, but it could recapture the end of the season so far. In February 2014 he extended his contract with Aue until 2016.
