Martín Montoya Torralbo ( born April 14, 1991 Gava ) is a Spanish football player. The right-back played since childhood for FC Barcelona.
Career
Association
At the age of nine years, Montoya came to La Masia. In the School of FC Barcelona, he went from year to year in different higher class youth teams on. With the A - youth of the FC Barcelona reached in the 2007/ 08 season, the final of the Copa del Rey Juvenil, the Spanish Cup for Juniors, and with his team defeated FC Sevilla 0-2. In the 2008 /09 season, he once played for FC Barcelona B, with which he was able to celebrate the rise in the Segunda División in the following year. In that season, he played in around half of the league games start and also scored in the 2010/11 season to the permanent staff.
26 February 2011 Montoya ran in the league match against RCD Mallorca for the first time on the first team. With the score at 3-0 for his team, he was substituted five minutes before the end of the game for Adriano.
End of 2011, Montoya extended his contract with Barcelona until 2014. Since the 2012/13 season is Montoya firmly in the first team squad.
National
With the Spanish U-17 national team, he was at the 2008 European Championships in Turkey European champions. Two years later he was about to repeat this triumph with the U-19 selection at the European Championships in France, failed in Spain but in the final to hosts France 1-2. In this tournament, he played most of the time on a team with some of his Barça colleagues like Marc Bartra, Carles Planas, Oriol Romeu or Thiago Alcántara. In 2011 he won the U -21 European Championship in the Denmark. He was a member of in all five games of the starting lineup.
On 25 August 2011, he was appointed as a player from Barcelona 's B-team for the first time for the games against Chile and Liechtenstein to the squad of the national team.
