Mashike, Hokkaido

Mashike (Japanese増 毛 町, -chō ) is a town in the district Mashike in the sub-prefecture Rumoi on Hokkaidō.

Etymology

The city's name comes from Ainu mashukini or mashuke what " seagulls richer place " means.

History
