Mats Frøshaug

Mats Frøshaug (* 31 July 1988 in Oslo) is a Norwegian ice hockey player who is under contract with the Lørenskog IK in the GET ligaen since 2010.

Career

Mats Frøshaug began his career as a hockey player in his youth by Sunne IK, for the first team he in the 2005/06 season his debut in Division 1 was. He then moved to the youth department of the Swedish first division club Linköpings HC, for whom he played 08 twice in the season 2007 / in the Elitserien. In addition, he came into this season on two inserts for IK Nyköping NH 90 in the sub-prime HockeyAllsvenskan. Then the Norwegians was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 in the sixth round as a total 161 players from the Vancouver Canucks.

The 2008/09 season began, the attacker again at Linköpings HC, for which he also in the newly formed Champions Hockey League was in three games on the ice, where he remained point and impunity. In this he played in the 2010/11 season for the Lørenskog IK.

Internationally

For Norway Frøshaug took at junior level at the U18 Junior B World Cup 2005 and the Under-18 Junior World Cup in 2006 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2007 and 2008 in part. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad for the A- World Cup 2008.
